Healthy Moms, Healthy Futures

Every mother deserves safe, informed, and supported care during pregnancy and beyond. VIBRANT MOMS is a community-driven initiative working with families, community health workers, and healthcare partners to improve maternal health across the Texas Panhandle. Together, we provide bilingual resources and local connections to address preeclampsia prevention, Medicaid navigation, maternal mental health, and other critical needs. Explore information tailored to your county, discover support close to home, and join us in building healthier futures for mothers and babies.

Who We Are

VIBRANT MOMS is a National Institutes of Health–funded initiative dedicated to improving maternal health across the Texas Panhandle. Guided by mothers, families, community health workers (CHWs), and healthcare partners, we are working together to reduce disparities and strengthen access to care so every mother and baby can thrive.

What We Do

Our Mission

We want all moms to have safe, healthy pregnancies. That means tackling the barriers to care and making sure support is available when and where it’s needed.

Our Focus

We partner with communities in Deaf Smith, Gray, Parmer, Potter, Randall, and Swisher Counties to expand support for moms and families, with local voices guiding stronger maternal health across the Texas Panhandle.

Our Approach

We work side by side with moms, families, community health workers (CHWs), and healthcare providers to put proven strategies into action. Together, we focus on:

  • Helping prevent preeclampsia through education and access to low-dose aspirin when recommended

  • Guiding families through Medicaid and insurance enrollment so care is within reach

  • Supporting maternal health during and after pregnancy

  • Sharing clear information to keep moms and babies healthy

Our Network

VIBRANT MOMS is led by a coalition of mothers, families, community health workers, and healthcare partners. Together, we make sure resources are available in both English and Spanish, that information is easy to understand, and that local communities stay actively involved every step of the way.

Our Commitment

Backed by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), VIBRANT MOMS is part of a national effort to reduce barriers and save lives. Our commitment is to create lasting change by building a model that continues to support moms and families well beyond this grant.
