
Meet Cindi
Cindi Wynia is the dedicated Program Manager for two grant-funded initiatives at Amarillo Public Health: Healthy Amarillo Women and Safe Kids. With a profound commitment to fostering healthy outcomes for individuals and families, Cindi excels in connecting resources, providing support, and delivering education to the community.

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from West Texas A&M University and a Master of Library Science from Texas Woman’s University, Cindi's academic background is both diverse and robust. Her professional journey began in family services at the Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) program, where she served as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She then played a pivotal role in the newly implemented Early Head Start Program at Region 16 Education Service Center.

Cindi's passion for community service continued as she dedicated 17 years to serving families as a Public Librarian before returning to health services at Amarillo Public Health. This career arc has allowed her to cultivate strong, meaningful relationships with organizations supporting pregnant individuals and their families in the Amarillo area.

As a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), Cindi brings additional expertise to her role, ensuring the safety and well-being of children within the community. Her comprehensive experience across health, education, and public service sectors uniquely positions her to make significant impacts on public health initiatives.

Cindi identifies as a White female and provides a valuable “patient collaborator” perspective, contributing her lived experiences to health services and policy research. Her work is a testament to her dedication to improving the lives of those in her community through compassionate and informed leadership.
